What to Look For in an MLM / Network Marketing Company

How do you know if Network Marketing is right for you? How do you know what to even LOOK for in an MLM? Honestly, there are SO many variables we could cover, but from my experience these THREE MAIN things are THEE most important to consider when looking for a Network Marketing Company and how to know if its right for you!

The reason I’m blogging on this topic today is simple.

I’ve received quite a few emails and calls from people I’ve known for years through the last company I was with called Beachbody.

I’ve also had a few handful of people reach out to me through my Youtube video.

 
They told me that they too were leaving and wanted to hear more about my experience leaving. Especially after being apart of that company for 5.5 years.
It was NOT an easy choice. And I know it wasn’t for them either.
 
After hearing quite a few of the same resounding reasons people wanted to leave and look for something else, they wanted to know what I was looking for in the next product partner/company. Some of these people decided to steer away from health and fitness altogether and try something new like clothing or makeup. Some decided they loved health still and continued on. 

Regardless, there are THREE main things I believe that any person considering joining a network marketing company should consider:(whether this is your first company or 11th).

 
1. Is the company proven to have success with their products and compensation plan? As in do the products WORK, do you see yourself USING and LOVING the products regardless of making money, do they have high value (which doesn’t always mean high price tags), and are the business owners (aka distributors) compensated fairly for this?
YES, there are some brand new baby start ups that can come out the gates swinging, and there are certainly pros and cons to that. Pros – people can make a lot of money. Cons- people can loose a lot of money and time if the company doesn’t survive. For me personally, I’d rather be with a company that has a track record of success for 5 years and is in good standing with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). 2. Is there a system in place that WORKS – meaning is it simple and duplicatable to the point that if you showed a 3rd grader, that same 8 or 9 year old could teach it to others and so forth? If the business plan is overwhelming, has too many connect the dots, and the company isn’t providing enough support to their business owners, retention will be low! *Which is a big reason I left Beachbody.
 
3. Is their an opportunity for GROWTH? If you are looking to make a little bit of money, then this isn’t as important. But if you see yourself transitioning your income to higher brackets (upwards of 6 figures) then this will be important. I wouldn’t personally suggest someone join a network marketing company that hasn’t experienced a new growth spurt in the last 1-2 years. No offense to Amway, they’re amazing, but I wouldn’t suggest someone join Amway at this point. (Amway was one of the first pioneer MLM companies in the 80s and 90s that blew up this industry!) 

Unfortunately, many companies don’t make it past two years.

So if you find a company that has been around for at least 5 years, still has plenty of room for growth, and has legit products, you’ve stumbled on a GEM! Kinda like what I’m in – yes, I’m tooting my horn because yes, this is my blog, and because yes, my product partner is #LifeChanging If you’re curious, please just reach out.
