The Power and Benefits of Matcha

Let’s chat Matcha. I’ve heard about this power superfood in previous years, and loved the Matcha Milkshakes I’ve tried, but I never looked into its super powers. I just figured, ‘another green thing we should be adding in’, but didn’t take it much farther than that.

So when I went to an event this patch October with a supplement company I partnered with, they highlighted the newest product to hit our online stores. A Vegan Matcha Meal Replacement shake!

Matcha is stone ground tea leaves. That’s it. Pretty simple. Match is also full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids.

What are the benefits of Matcha?

One cup of Matcha is equal to about 10 cups of brewed green tea! And if you know anything about green tea you know that it’s one of the least acidic sources of caffeine that also helps speed up metabolism and burn fat. One cup of green tea can help you burn 90 calories (without actually moving), whereas Matcha can help you burn up to 35-45% of your daily total expenditure (aka how much energy you need to move and fucntion)!

It is KING of antioxidants, having MORE than any other superfood or super green out there! Antioxidants help slow down the aging process, and prevent chronic diseases.

Matcha is CANCER FIGHTING – it has EGCg which is catechin, aka a POTENT antioxidant that counteracts free radicals like pollution (ugh, California has too much), UV rays (sun damange), radiation (phones, microwaves, etc) and chemicals which are everywhere.

Matcha helps with meditation, focus and staying calm. It’s no wonder we take health tips from the Japanese, and they always seem to be ahead of the game when it comes to balanced living and nutrition. Monks have been using matcha for centuries as a way to stay focused, calm yet alert. L-Theanine is an amino acid found in Matcha which increase alpha waves and in turn creates the calming effect. Matcha contains 5x more L-Theanine than black and green tea.

While I could go on and on, I’ll leave you with this final benefit. Chlorophyll is what gives matcha it’s beautiful green color and helps your body remove any heavy metals and chemicals. You may be wondering how chemicals and heavy metals enter your body in the first place. I’ll give you major hint… its clear and you drink it daily. YES, WATER! Our water systems are not that great, and most water is highly contaminated. More on that in a future blog post.

I’ll be honest, if something tastes TOO green, I’m a little on the ‘meh’ side of drinking it straight. I do like some earthy taste to my shakes because then I know they aren’t covered up with artificial flavors and chemicals. However, if something tastes very … well, green, I’ll spruce it up my own way.

I’ve tried quite a few meal replacement shakes in the past, and NONE of them taste like a Chik Fil A shake, so having high expectations for milk chocolatey goodness is setting yourself up for failure.

So with all meal replacements, I like to add a secret ingredient, called PEANUT BUTTER! WOO! Who doesn’t love that?! I specifically like the Orgain Peanut Butter protein OR PB2!

What I LOVE about our Matcha from our Health Trim line is that it also contains Sacha Inchi, 20 grams of vegan protein, sweetened with coconut powder, stevia and has chlorella. I drink this daily for breakfast along with the Metabolic One for metabolism boost to continue burning fat naturally.

ALL of our products I stand behind 110% and believe that they are the missing ingredients to a healthy body and mind. Once I started taking these products consistently, I noticed I was in a much better balanced mood, but I actually felt CLEAN from the inside out. Pure energy, without depending on ‘X’ amounts of coffee which is very acidic!

Want to try the King of superfoods, but with a discount?? Let’s chat! I can help you save 25% and even earn FREE supplements! I just got $400 worth of product for FREE! Health is an investment, and once you invest in yourself, it will pay you back in tenfold!
